On June, 4-7, Mstislavl hosts festival of Orthodox culture being blessed by Mogilev and Mstislavl Bishop Sophrony and supported by Mstislavl executive committee. The festival was initiated by Minsk Saint-Elizabethan nunnery, - Svyatoslav Kusov, the deputy chairman of Mstislavl town executive committee, informed.
The main arrangements of the festival will take place at the open place of the central square of Mstislavl and at the Town Centre of Culture. One can attend performances of choral and instrumental groups, photo exhibitions “Life of Nunnery” and “Cathedrals of Belarus”, expositions “Belarusian hatka (small house)” and “Orthodox Church”, exhibition of children’s pictures “Colours of Peace” that were presented at ХIV exhibition of children’s pictures in Kanagava (Japan), and Genady Sukhomlinov’s art exhibition “Light of Your Love”.
According to S. Kusov, it will be for the first time when Mstislavl will host such a festival, and in the nearest future it will be hold annually and be timed to some significant Orthodox holiday.
