November,2 in Mogilev and Bobruisk autumn school holidays were prolonged for a week and will last till November,6. The decision was made to reduce the risk of respiratory virus infection among children. The measures are taken because of the increase in respiratory virus accidents. It is not the beginning of the epidemic. The decision is of preventive character. The information is provided by Igor Gaevsky, the chief public sanitary inspector of Mogilev region.
According to him, it is without cause to say about any extraordinary cases. In Mogilev and region the situation is quiet. Every year we face a seasonal rise in respiratory virus accidents. But previous years it occurred a little bit later. This year the rise was noticed at the end of autumn school holidays. That’s why a decision was made to prolong them. “It will help to slow down virus infection spread and have positive affects on complete recovering of those who got a cold. We have responded to the situation without delay, and there is no doubt it will have results,” - Igor Gaevsky noted.
