Mogilev and the Azerbaijani city of Sumgayit have concluded a co-operation agreement, Interfax learnt from Chairman of Mogilev Council of Deputies Valery Svistunov.
According to the Foreign Trade Department of Mogilev Region Administration, in 2007 the trade turnover between Mogilev and Azerbaijan totaled $2.4 million, or 21.6% up on the year. Exports rose by 15.6% to reach $1.9 million, while imports expanded by 58.3% and totaled $58.3%.
Mogilev exports to Azerbaijan elevators (90%), chemical threads and fibres, pumps and metal-working tools. In return, the city imports mineral products, fabrics and synthetic threads.
