Mogilev Region enterprises increased the value of commodity exports by 26.9% in January-July 2007 in comparison with this time last year to a total of $833.1 million, an official with the Foreign Trade Department of Mogilev Region Administration told Interfax.
Exports to the CIS rose by 32.8%, non-CIS – 14.7%, the source specified.
The value of import increased by 32.8% to $587.3 million. As a result, the region ended the period with a trade surplus of $152.6 million against $101 million in January-July 2006.
In January-July Mogilev Region has been trading with 107 countries of the world, with Russia being a major trade partner (55.4%), Germany (7.8%), Lithuania (3.2%), Malaysia (2.6%), Poland (2.1%), Ukraine (8.1%) and Kazakhstan (2.6%).
