Mogilev Chemical Fibre Plant produced BYR 712.8 billion worth of goods in January-October, or 18.8% up on the year, a company representative told Interfax-West. Consumer goods output reached BYR 16 billion.
Over the period in question the company exported $198 million worth of commodities (16% up).
They attribute the production increase to the company's retooling and modernization efforts.
Also, the company continues implementing former investment projects and is getting ready to get registered as a resident of Mogilev Free Economic Area.
Mogilevkhimvolokno is one of Europe's leading producers of polyester fibres and threads and the only manufacturer of polyethylene terephthalate in the CIS. It was established in 1968 and transformed into a joint-stock company in 2002.
99.95% of the equity capital belongs to state. The company employs about 10,000 people
