Governor of Ukraine's Zaporizhzha Region Alexander Nefedov invited Mogilev Region Governor Boris Batura to set up a joint assemblage of Mogilev-made elevators in Zaporizhzha, an Interfax reporter informs.
According to the Ukrainian governor, 80% of Zaporizhzha's elevators are outdated. In his words, jointly assembled elevators may be sold in Ukraine under the Belarusian trademark.
The would-be joint assemblage will contribute to the development of business co-operation between the two regions, the governor added.
The Ukrainian delegation is going to visit Mogilev Metallurgical Plant that relies on raw stuff imported from Zaporizhzha, the governor reported.
In his turn, Boris Batura noted that Mogilev Region's export to Zaporizhzha hiked 8.7-fold in January-February 2008 to reach $800,000. Mogilev Region exported to the Ukrainian region elevators, car tyres, tractor spare parts and textiles.
Imports from Zaporizhzha grew 3.5-fold, the governor added.
