Mogilev Heroes' Alley was opened after reconstruction. It perpetuates the names of 104 heroes of The Soviet Union who were born in Pridneprovsk area and in the region. The leaders of Mogilev Region Executive Committee and Municipal Administration, delegations from districts and towns of Mogilev land, war veterans, representatives of the youth and public took part in the event.
According to Petr Rudnik, the head of Mogilev Region Executive Committee, Heroes' Alley for 25 years has been the most important monument of Pridneprovsk area, and today we are witnessing its second birth. 12 thousand citizens of the Soviet Union were awarded for their heroic deeds. We are proud of the fact that 114 names of our countrymen are among them. They are our history.
The Architecture and Town-Planning Office of Mogilev Administration informs that the reconstruction of the alley was completed within a month. Elena Verminich and Valentina Kuharenko's project succeeded in changing the monument, making it more functional.
