A festive presentation has been held at Chyrvonaya Zorka movie theatre in Mogilev on Tuesday, with Bulgaria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Petko Gancev in attendance, Interfax reports.
The venue has been there to mark the launch of a Bulgarian movie festival, which will be held in the region May 15-19.
During his two-day trip to Mogilev, the ambassador is also expected to Governor Boris Batura to address plans for further economic co-operarion with Bulgaria on a regional level.
Last year the value of transactions between Belarus and Bulgaria stood at some $60 million, which much lower than in the 1970s. The authorities in Belarus reckon Belarusian badly need commodities produced in Bulgaria and propose expanding commerce.
The diplomat is also expected to meet the Mayor of Mogilev and visit Gorki.
