The trade turnover between Mogilev and Israel rose by 70% on the year in January-September 2008 to reach $717,400, Interfax-West learnt from Mogilev City Hall.
Over the period in question Mogilev exported $44,000 worth of goods to Israel (40% up), Imports grew 72.4% to reach $673,400.
This January-September Mogilev exported leather and textiles to Israel. In return, the city imported foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, ferrous metals.
According to Mogilev City Hall, the city hosts an Israeli company called Kopu Trade that is engaged in the sphere of satellite TV.
In January-September Israel invested $49,700 in Mogilev's economy.
