Mogilev Meat-Packing Plant OJSC is planning to upgrade the meat-and-fat shop in 2008, a company representative told Interfax.
The estimated cost of the upgrading project is BYR 2.4 billion, the source specified.
The project is expected to help the company expand product range, improve product quality, boost the output and prolong the shelf life of goods.
In January-February 2008 the company turned out BYR 29.5 billion worth of goods, or 18.2% up on the year.
Currently, Mogilev Meat-Packing Plant produces over 350 kinds of foodstuffs, including 250 kinds of sausages. The company makes over 60 tonnes of meat, 50 tonnes of sausages and 12 tonnes of semi-finished meat goods daily.
The company uses solely natural raw stuff without meat substitutes. Over 70% of the meat products is sold on the domestic market. The company has its own distribution network handling over 20% of its output.
The company uses ISO 9001 quality management system. Mogilev Meat-Packing Plant has presented its produce at numerous exhibitions and won several contests, the source informed.
