Mogilev opened the centre of contractual medical services on the basis of the central out-patient clinic. The centre will provide paid services for Mogilev residents, individuals and legal entities, and through insurance companies The information is provided by Alexander Starovoitov, a chief physician of the health care establishment.
The centre will provide patients with medical advice, dental services, therapeutic assistance, laboratory tests and diagnostic examination including ultrasound scanning and cosmetologist’s services.
The centre took the premises of the former medical and rehabilitation commission on the third floor. The rooms were repaired at the centre’s expenses. Bright colours create positive mood for patients and medical staff. In November the centre starts working at its full capacity.
Alexander Starovoitov says that the centre of contractual medical services will make voluntary medical insurance more popular. The idea of voluntary medical insurance is actively supported by doctors, insurance companies and the Ministry of Public Health Care. Every month the centre serves 90-100 patients under the contracts with insurance companies. The chief physician is sure that the centre will improve the situation in the medical insurance sphere. The centre has adopted the experience of Minsk’s specialists, particularly the program “Personal physician”.
The service “Personal physician” is long-term; it means signing a contract between a patient and an out-patient clinic for 12 months. The patient will be offered a list of 25-30 services: consulting a physician 12 times a year, laboratory tests, radiologic, ultra sound and functional examinations. The patient will be able to arrange his visit to the doctor by a telephone call. The personal physician will advise the patient to visit necessary medical specialists and to undertake examination within 1-2 days. Personal treatment strategy will be chosen. Under the contract the patient will get a dynamic medical observation and control over his/her physical condition provided by well-qualified specialists in a comfortable atmosphere and for reasonable state-fixed prices. The estimated early cost makes Br1 m 775 thousand 800 for a woman and Br1 m 591 thousand for a man.
