Mogilev Regional Puppet Theatre will stage Kupala “Paulinka” in February, 2010 in Belostok (Poland), - theatre deputy director Tatiana Glushakova told.
The theatre was invited on tour to Poland after its successful performance at International Festival of Puppet Theatres for adults “Puppet is a Person” that took place in Warsaw on 19-25 October. Polish spectators over and over again applauded to Mogilev artists and awarded them with special prize for Belarusian dramatic art personification at puppet theatre stage. Besides Mogilev theatre was invited to the next year festival, and International theatrical forum in Norway.
It was young Mogilev producer Vyacheslav Kornev who adapted famous Yanka Kupala’s play to puppet theatre stage. Leading actors play musical instruments, sing Belarusian folk songs. This picturesque performance catches spectators’ attention and holds it till the end of the play. Mogilev spectators will be the second to see “Paulinka” on 11 November.
