Mogilev region’s juvenile delinquency rate in 2011 went down by 21.7%

According to the information provided by Natalia Ignatenko, a deputy chairman of juvenile crime committee of Mogilev region executive committee, the region’s juvenile delinquency rate in 2011 went down by 21.7% (from 543 juvenile crimes committed in 2010 to 425 – in 2011).

The current year is following the positive trend – 24 juvenile crimes were committed in January 2012 comparing with 20 juvenile crimes registered in 2011. At the same time the crime rate went up in Leninski district of Mogilev city, as well as in Bykhov, Glussk, Klimovichi, Khotimsk districts. One case was registered in Krichev district, though there had been none before.

Thefts prevail among juvenile crimes, Natalia Ignatenko specified. 294 thefts were committed in 2011; 16 have already been registered this year.
