In Mogilev region 32.7% candidates for a delegate’s mandate are acting delegates. The information is provided by Alexei Lavrenenok, the secretary of Mogilev regional election committee.
The total number those willing to be registered as candidates for delegates’ mandates of the 27th convocation is 5,182. 1,697 of them (32.7%) are acting delegates.
Most candidates (3,351) were nominated by collection of signatures. Labour collectives nominated 1,806 candidates. 99 candidates were nominated by political parties.
Women make 51.1% of the registered candidates, citizens under 30 years old – 6.8%. 12 registered candidates are the citizens of the Russian Federation. Most candidates are representatives of education, public health, science and culture fields – 28.4%. Agriculture representatives make 25.8%, state authorities – 8.7%. 15.8% to the total number of candidates represent other spheres.
The competition is really high among the candidates for Mogilev City Council’s mandates: 106 candidates for 40 mandates. 152 citizens are registered as candidates for the regional council.
152 candidates were nominated for 58 electoral districts. 31 electoral districts nominated 2 candidates each, 19 electoral districts – 3 candidates each, 7 electoral districts – 4 candidates each, one electoral district – 5 candidates each.
The forthcoming election in Mogilev region must elect 2693 delegates including 58 to the regional council, 731 – to district councils, 80 – to town councils, 1,824 – to village councils.
