Mogilev region arts museum named after P. Maslennikov to stage Batleika plays

Batleika (traditional ancient Belarusian portable puppet theatre) plays are staged at Mogilev region arts museum named after P. Maslennikov. At that it is the replica of the ancient one that used to entertain children of Mogilev region.

When specialists of Mogilev region arts museum learned that the original of the Belarusian batleika is kept at the State Ethnographic Museum in Saint Petersburg, they asked painters from Minsk Mikhail Shepelenko and Elena Ivanchenko to make its exact copy, carve toys and reproduce the whole system.
