Mogilev Region enterprises increased the value of commodity exports by 21.1% in January-November 2007 in comparison with this time last year to a total of $1,406.6 million, an official with the Foreign Trade Department of Mogilev Region Administration told Interfax.
Import rose by 19.7% to reach $1,109.4 million. The region ended the period with a trade surplus of $297.2 million against $235.1 million in January-November 2006.
The yearly export growth target is 17.4%, while import is expected to rise by 8.2%-9.2%, the source reminded.
Over the period in question the region exported $21.4 million worth of services (mostly transport and tourism), or 17.9% up on the year (against the target of 11%). The surplus in foreign trade in services made $11.5 million in January-November, the source reported.
