Mogilev Region enterprises increased the value of commodity exports by 32.4% in January-May 2008 in comparison with this time last year to a total of $724.9 million, an official with the Foreign Trade Department of Mogilev Region Administration told Interfax.
The yearly growth target is 17%, the source reminded.
Imports rose by 40% to reach $642.9 million. The region ended the period with a trade surplus of $82 million.
In January-May goods made in Mogilev Region were exported to 71 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Lithuania, Germany, Brazil, Poland, Singapore.
The region imported goods from 86 states, including Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Indonesia, Malaysia.
