Mogilev Region enterprises increased the value of commodity exports by 29.8% in January-July 2008 in comparison with this time last year to a total of $1,082.9 million, an official with the Foreign Trade Department of Mogilev Region Administration told Interfax.
The volume of foreign trade totaled $2,023.5 million in January-July, the source added.
The yearly growth target is 17%, the source reminded.
The trade turnover between Mogilev Region and Russia grew 40.4% to reach $1,180.3 million. Exports to the Russian Federation expanded by 35.6% ($660.7 million), and imports increased by 47% ($519.6 million).
The region ended the period with a trade surplus of $142.3 million.
In January-July Mogilev Region had 98 foreign trade partners.
The region imported goods from 86 states and exported commodities to 75 countries.
