Mogilev Region enterprises increased the value of commodity exports by 33.4% in January-April 2008 in comparison with this time last year to a total of $570.6 million, an official with the Foreign Trade Department of Mogilev Region Administration told Interfax.
The yearly growth target is 17%, the source reminded.
Imports rose by 52.5% to reach $285 million. The region ended the period with a trade surplus of $71.4 million.
In January-April goods made in Mogilev Region were exported to 67 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Lithuania, Germany, Brazil, Poland, Singapore.
The region imported goods from 83 states, including Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Indonesia, Malaysia.
