Mogilev Region exported $6.9 million worth of services in January-March 2008, or 51.7% up on the year, Interfax learnt from the Foreign Trade Department of the regional administration.
The import of services grew 9.6% on the year to reach $2.5 million, the source added.
This year's service export growth target is 45%, while the import of services is expected to rise by 40%.
The CIS accounted for 48.2% of the region's export of services and 58.7% of the import, the source informed.
Most of the exports (47%) as well as imports (50.8%) fell on the Russian Federation.
The export of transport services rose by 50%, and the export of tourist services expanded by 80%. Construction services export increased by 73.8%, information services - 78.6%, healthcare services - 3.1-fold, and the export of education services doubled.
