Farms based in Mogilev Region have collected new potatoes on over 30% of territories under that crop, the local agribusiness authority told Interfax-West.
As of September 22, 2008 the farmers have cleared potatoes on 1,428 ha of fields, which makes 35% of the target, the average yield at 22,800 kilos per ha.
The highest progress has been reported from the suburbs of Mogilev, where they collect 23,700 kilos per ha, with 52% of territories cleared.
The highest yield has been reported in Borbuisk – 34,600 kilos per ha.
In the south of Mogilev Region they have already collected sugar beets on 20% of territories, average yield standing at 32,700 kilos per ha.
