Mogilev Region youth are going to conduct a patriotic campaign to commemorate the victims of WWII, Interfax learnt from the regional committee of the Belarusian Youth Union.
The Chime of Sorrow campaign will embrace numerous meetings, requiems and excursions. Within the framework of the campaign young people will meet with WWII veterans and lay flowers to the monuments of war, as well as watch war films, the source specified.
The traditional meeting at Buinichi Field memorial that will be held on June 22 is expected to be attended by representatives of the local authorities and WWII veterans.
Belarus was among the first former Soviet republics to be attacked by fascist invaders on June 22, 1941.
