Mogilev Region commissioned 246.9 thousand square metres of housing in the seven-month period, which makes 58.1% of the year target and 26.1% up in comparison with January-June 2006, the Committee for housing construction and investments of the regional administration told Interfax.
As much as 105.5 thousand square metres of houses was commissioned in rural areas (77.6% and 17.5% respectively), the source said.
The proportion of housing commissioned in rural areas in the seven-month period made 42% of the total number of houses made operational in the region.
The share of housing built on bank loans makes 55.7%, investments of private households - 40.1%.
As reported by the committee, a total of BYR 214 billion was invested in housing construction in Mogilev Region in January-July 2007 (18.3% of the total value of investments).
