Companies based in Mogilev Region reduced their debt to the Social Security Fund by 9.5% in 2007, Interfax learnt from head of the regional SSF Department Viktor Sivash.
As of January 1, 2008, the accumulate fund of Mogilev Region companies to the fund was BYR 15.3 billion, the source specified.
Agricultural enterprises account for 94% of the outstanding liabilities (BYR 14.4 billion, 11% down on the year).
According to the source, 2,600 sole traders in the region (10.5% of their total number, which makes about 25,000) had outstanding debts as of January 1.
In 2007 the regional SSF Department paid BYR 1,090 billion in pensions and allowances.
