Mogilev Region Branch of the Social Security Fund has shown the best economic performance among similar organizations, head of the branch Viktor Sivash told Interfax.
He reminded, that companies based in Mogilev Region reduced their debt to the Social Security Fund by 25.3% in 2007.
In his words, their outstanding debt to the fund made BYR 16.9 billion in 2006 (agricultural companies - 95.3%, industrial enterprises - 2.9%, light industry - 1.8%).
He added, however, several rural districts failed to timely make all the necessary payments. This applies to Klichev, Osipovichi and Chaussy.
The fund's regional branch continuously controls 140 local companies whose aggregate debt to the fund makes BYR 17.6 billion.
Last year the number of registered payers rose to 38,500 (including 20,300 individual entrepreneurs). In accordance with presidential decree No.148 dated March 24 2005, 4,900 sole traders were granted payment respite.
