Mogilev Region is planning to gather 1.3 million tonnes of grain this year, says Governor Boris Batura.
The governor attributes the rise in grain crops to the state-sponsored Rural Revival Program.
Over the past three years Mogilev Region invested BYR 5.4 trillion in the program (BYR 4 trillion was tied in product8ion facilities, and BYR 1.4 trillion was invested in the social sphere).
In June 2008 the average monthly wage in agriculture totaled BYR 532,000, the governor informed.
Over the period in question the average milk yield per cow increased by 1,200 litres and is expected to reach 5,000 litres in 2008.
