Mogilev Region Governor Boris Batura visited a boarding school in Chausy on the eve of Christmas holidays, Interfax learnt from the governor's press secretary Mikhail Kovalev.
The school hosts children with behavioral deviations and kids whose parents fail to properly fulfill their parental duties.
The governor wished children and teachers merry Christmas and a happy New Year. The school received several refrigerators and other pieces of equipment from the administration of Mogilev Region, and the kids got cookies and candies.
According to the regional education department, Chausy boarding school has 98 students, including 24 orphans.
