An information campaign on social development is held in Mogilev Region on Thursday, Interfax learnt from the regional ideology department.
The campaign was organised by Mogilev Region Administration and district administrations, the source specified.
The campaign focuses on employment, salaries, pensions, allowances, social security and demographic situation in the region.
According to Mogilev Region Administration, as of October 1 the unemployment rate in the region was 1.3%. The average salary made BYR 625,200 and the average pension reached BYR 302,333. The total social security spending made BYR 778.6 billion in January-September.
According to the source, the region has 25 social service centers with 76 local branches. 71 branches are located in rural areas. In H1 2007 the latter rendered social services to 7,400 rural residents.
Infant mortality rate in Mogilev Region was 5% in 2006, or 1.7% down on the year, the source added.
