Mogilev Region is planning to invest BYR 1.2 trillion in the development of small towns from 2007 to 2010, Vice Governor Vladimir Kravtsov told Interfax.
The development program embraces 25 investment projects that stipulate setting up new enterprises and modernising the existing ones.
To fund the projects, the regional administration will draw bank loans and state budget allotments. Foreign investments will only cover 0.4% of the necessary amount.
According to the source, small towns accommodate 30% of the population of Mogilev Region (260 thousand people).
