Mogilev Region has invested BYR 2.5 trillion in the development of the region's economy and social sphere in January-October 2008, marking a 14.3% upturn on the year, Interfax learnt from the committee for investments and construction of the regional administration.
According to the source, construction and assembly accounted for 43.2% of the investments (BYR 1.095 billion, 11.5% up on the year).
Expenses related to the purchase of machines, equipment and vehicles totalled BYR 1.137 billion (44.8% of the total investments and 18.7% up on the year).
BYR 1,707 billion fell on production facilities (67.3% of the total amount of investments and 13.9% up).
Non-production sector investments totaled BYR 828 billion (or 16.5% up on the year).
