Mogilev Region has invested BYR 2.8 trillion in the development of the region's economy and social sphere in January-November 2008, marking a 13.1% upturn on the year, Interfax learnt from the committee for investments and construction of the regional administration.
According to the source, construction and assembly accounted for 43.4% of the investments (BYR 1,224.2 billion, 12.4% up on the year).
Expenses related to the purchase of machines, equipment and vehicles totalled BYR 1,248.2 billion (44.3% of the total investments and 16.2% up on the year).
BYR 1,893 billion fell on production facilities (67.1% of the total amount of investments and 11.8% up).
Non-production sector investments totaled BYR 926.7 billion (or 17.5% up on the year).
