Mogilev Region has invested BYR 3.3 trillion in the development of the region's economy and social sphere in 2008, marking a 15.3% upturn on the year, Interfax learnt from the committee for investments and construction of the regional administration.
According to the source, construction and assembly accounted for 42.3% of the investments (BYR 1,417.5 billion, 14.1% up on the year).
Expenses related to the purchase of machines, equipment and vehicles totalled BYR 1,505.7 billion (45% of the total investments and 17.8% up on the year).
BYR 2,255.5 billion fell on production facilities (67.4% of the total amount of investments and 14.9% up).
Non-production sector investments totaled BYR 1,089.6 billion (or 15.4% up on the year).
