Mogilev Region invested BYR 471.5 billion in the development of agcriculture in 2007, Interfax learnt from the regional committee for agriculture and foodstuffs.
In 2007 farms based in Mogilev Region earned a net profit of BYR 138.8 billion, or 29% up on the year. The return on sales totaled 8.3%.
Local farms were equipped with 130 new equipment lines, including 75 feed dispensers, the source informed.
From October 2007 to February 2008 the production of livestock grew 8.9%, and the output of milk increased by 7.9%. The average milk yield per cow made 1,199 kilos.
