A total of BYR 48.4 billion was invested in housing construction in Mogilev Region in January-February 2008 (18.4% of the total value of funds invested in the region), the Committee for housing construction and investments of the regional administration told Interfax.
The value of housing commissioned in rural areas and small towns accounts for 62.2% of the total funds invested.
In January-February Mogilev Region commissioned 30.1 thousand square metres of housing and as much as 2.9 thousand square metres of houses was commissioned in rural areas.
The proportion of housing commissioned in rural areas in the period made 41.4% of the total number of houses made operational in the region.
The share of housing built on bank loans makes around 68.3%, investments of private households – over 25.2%.
The year 2008 target for Mogilev Region is commission 453 thousand square metres of houses.
