Mogilev Region's farms produced around 600,000 tonnes of milk in January-November 2008, or 9.7% up on the year, Interfax-West has learnt from the regional authority on agriculture and foods.
The average milk yield per cow totaled 4,313 kilos, the source reported.
The region saw meat and poultry sales grow by 8% in live weight terms in January-November 2008 to reach 100.6 thousand tonnes.
Local poultry farms produced 227.8 million eggs (4.2% up).
The total agricultural output rose by 9.1% on the year in comparable prices.
Agribusiness enterprises of Mogilev Region earned a 45% higher net profit in January-November 2008 (BYR 177.2 billion) than in January-November 2007.
At the same time, one agricultural enterprise ended the period with a net loss of BYR 500 million.
The return on sales in January-November 2008 made 9.5%.
