The gross milk yield in Mogilev Region rose by 11.4% on the year in January-March 2007 to reach 122,700 tons, Interfax learnt from the regional committee for agriculture and foodstuffs.
Milk sales grew 12.8% (99,800 tons), and the average milk yield per cow increased by 11% to 895 kilos.
According to the source, over the period in question Mogilev Region farms produced over 24,800 tons of cattle and poultry meat, or 9% up on the year. The output of eggs stood at 60.8 million.
The output of vegetables rose by 8.3% to 203.7 tons, the source reported.
On the whole, Mogilev Region's agricultural output increased by 6% on the year in January-March 2007, the Q1 target being 1.5%.
