Mogilev Region Administration is going to take measures to reinvigorate foreign trade, an Interfax reporter informs.
One of the major objectives in this sphere is to achieve a stable growth of surplus in foreign trade, says First Vice Governor Vladimir Kravtsov.
As formerly reported by Interfax, Mogilev Region enterprises increased the value of commodity exports by 33.4% in January-April 2008 in comparison with this time last year to a total of $570.6 million.
The yearly growth target is 17%.
Imports rose by 52.5% to reach $285 million. The region ended the period with a trade surplus of $71.4 million.
In January-April goods made in Mogilev Region were exported to 67 countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Lithuania, Germany, Brazil, Poland, Singapore.
The region imported goods from 83 states, including Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Indonesia, Malaysia.
