Private companies based in Mogilev Region increased sales of for-fee services by 2.4-fold over the past five years, Interfax learnt from the regional economy committee.
In H1 2007, private companies accounted for 37.1% of the total sales of services in the region, the source added.
Over the period in question all types of companies based in Mogilev Region sold BYR 443.3 billion worth of services, or 11.6% up on the year, the H1 growth target being 7.5%.
State-owned companies accounted for 62.8% of the overall volume of for-fee services rendered in H1 2007.
According to the economy committee, the region has considerably increased the sales of the following types of services: banking services (21.5% up), communication (23.2%), tourist services (45.5%), physical culture and sport (20.7%), hotels, accommodation (23.2%), medical rehabilitation and spa (30%).
