Companies based in Mogilev Region increased sales of for-fee services by 12.3% in 2007 to BYR 942 billion, Interfax learnt from the regional economy committee.
The yearly growth target was 8.5%-9.5%, the source reminded.
State-owned companies accounted for 60.5% of the total volume of services rendered in Mogilev Region.
According to the economy committee, the region has considerably increased the sales of the following types of services: banking services (19% up), tourist services (41.9%), physical culture and sport (26.6%), hotels, accommodation (26%), medical rehabilitation and spa (18.8%), communication (19.6%), community services (24.9%).
The sales of consumer services totaled BYR 126.9 billion, or 29.5% up on the year.
