Mogilev Region is going to restore a monument and a memorial chapel that had been erected in honor of the victory of the Russian army over Swedish troops. The reconstruction of the two objects located near the village of Lesnaya (Slavgorod District) will cost over BYR 6.7 billion, Interfax learnt from Mogilev Region Administration.
According to the source, the funds will come both from the state budget and from the regional budget. The reconstruction is expected to be completed by September 1, 2008.
In September 2008 Belarus will celebrate the 300th anniversary of that glorious victory. The festivities will be funded by the budget of the Union State (RUB 3 million).
