Mogilev regional executive committee held the first session of the working group to create the image of the area and its brand. The group includes the representatives of the Regional Economy Department, Regional Ideology, Culture and Youth’s Affairs Office, Sports and Tourism Office, Mogilev Chamber of Commerce and Industry, mass media, historians and local history specialists.
Oleg Buyanov, the chairman of the Economy Department, pointed out the importance of information, knowledge, image and brand all over the modern world. The competition of Belarus’ regions has led to the necessity to build the favourable image of Mogilev region. The image will be of great use for consumers and investors.
The working group arrived at the conclusion of the necessity to create a unique brand of the region, its logotype, a video commercial, a video film, a specialized Internet portal. The region should also issue booklets and souvenirs.
All participant of the session supported the idea of developing regional agroecotourism under the slogan “Zhivaya Voda” which has already become a brand of the developing tourist cluster based on the green route “The Land of Life-giving Sources”. The authors of the idea consider the slogan “Zhivaya Voda” to be a symbol of full value life, development and spiritual renaissance of Mogilev region.
