As many as 170 industrial enterprises based in Mogilev Region (77.3% of their total number) increased their production volumes in January-October 2007, Interfax learnt from the economy committee of the regional administration.
According to the source, the output of 188 out of 313 most essential goods has grown in Mogilev Region.
In particular, chemical and petrochemical industry raised production volume by 12.5%, mechanical engineering and metal working - 20.1%, construction materials industry - 15.6%, timber and wood-working industry - 10.3%, food industry - 10.7%.
The output of fertilizing machines rose 2-fold, tractor trailers - by 30%, scrapers - 1.5-fold, car tyres - 1.5-fold, polyester roofing materials - 1.9-fold, cement - 12%, roofing slates - 18%, fat cheeses - 36.5%.
Newly-launched goods accounted for 14% of the overall output, the source added.
