Mogilev Region spent BYR 382 billion on the development of economy and social sphere in January-March 2007, or 153.1% up on the year, Interfax learnt from the committee for investments and construction of the regional administration.
According to the source, construction and assembly accounted for 43.8% of the investments (34% up on the year).
Expenses related to the purchase of machines, equipment and vehicles totalled BYR 176.2 billion (73.2% up).
BYR 261 billion fell on production facilities (77% of the total amount of investments).
Non-production sector investments totalled BYR 121.5 billion, or 19% up on the year.
