Mogilev Region spent BYR 1,678 billion on the development of economy and social sphere in January-September 2007, or 17.5% up on the year, Interfax learnt from the committee for investments and construction of the regional administration.
According to the source, construction and assembly accounted for 44.3% of the investments (16.9% up on the year).
Expenses related to the purchase of machines, equipment and vehicles totalled BYR 765 billion (16.4% up).
BYR 1,127.6 billion fell on production facilities (67.2% of the total amount of investments, 16.6% up on the year).
Non-production sector investments totalled BYR 450.4 billion (or 20.2% up on the year), 54.6% of which was spent on housing construction.
Budget allocations accounted for 31.2% of the overall amount of investments (BYR 523 billion), the source specified.
According to the source, 47.2% of investments was tied in state property, 51% fell on private assets, and 1.8% - on foreign assets.
