Mogilev Region spent BYR 2,523.7 billion on the development of economy and social sphere in 2007, or 18.3% up on the year, Interfax learnt from the committee for investments and construction of the regional administration.
According to the source, construction and assembly accounted for 42% of the investments (12.4% up on the year).
Expenses related to the purchase of machines, equipment and vehicles totalled BYR 1,159 billion (19.4% up, 46% of the total).
BYR 1,705.1 billion fell on production facilities (67.6% of the total amount of investments, 17% up on the year).
Non-production sector investments totalled BYR 818.6 billion (or 22% up on the year), 50% of which was spent on housing construction.
