Mogilev Region spent BYR 954.7 billion on the development of economy and social sphere in January-June 2007, or 25% up on the year, Interfax learnt from the committee for investments and construction of the regional administration.
According to the source, construction and assembly accounted for 47% of the investments (21.3% up on the year).
Expenses related to the purchase of machines, equipment and vehicles totalled BYR 410 billion (26% up).
BYR 625.2 billion fell on production facilities (65.5% of the total amount of investments, 26% up on the year).
Non-production sector investments totalled BYR 329.5 billion (or 23% up on the year), 57.7% of which was spent on housing construction.
