Mogilev Region spent BYR 524.8 billion on the development of economy and social sphere in January-April 2007, or 44% up on the year, Interfax learnt from the committee for investments and construction of the regional administration.
According to the source, construction and assembly accounted for 46% of the investments (40.3% up on the year).
Expenses related to the purchase of machines, equipment and vehicles totalled BYR 231.5 billion (47.3% up).
BYR 349 billion fell on production facilities (66.5% of the total amount of investments, 52% up on the year).
Non-production sector investments totalled BYR 175.8 billion, or 31% up on the year.
