Mogilevoblpischeprom Holding is planning to upgrade the winery based in Mogilev Region in 2008, a company representative told Interfax.
The company is planning to expand the output of grape and fruit wines in the region by means of importing equipment from Italy and Russia. Belarusian manufacturers will deliver some equipment as well, the source informed.
The bottling equipment is expected to be commissioned in May 2008, and the procession equipment will be assembled by late July.
The estimated cost of the upgrading project is BYR 2.1 billion.
This year the company is planning to produce 448,000 decalitres of fruit wines and 50,000 decalitres of premium quality grape wines.
In Q1 2008 the company put out 2,400 decalitres of grape wines and 92,000 decalitres of fruit wines.
