The average monthly salary in Mogilev Region increased by 18.8% on the year in January-August 2007 to BYR 625,500, Interfax learnt from the Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Security of the regional administration.
The average salary in August was BYR 688,100 ($320.5).
The average salary in the budget sector made BYR 561,700 in January-July and BYR 593,700 ($276.7) in August.
Mogilev Region’s industrial enterprises offered a 15.5% higher monthly wage than the general average salary. The highest monthly wage was registered in petrochemical industry – BYR 860,800. The average salary in transport companies was BYR 772,300, construction companies – BYR 725,400, municipal economy – BYR 615,000, trade and public catering – BYR 468,900.
