The average monthly salary in Mogilev Region increased by 23% on the year in January-September 2008 to BYR 773,700, Interfax-West learnt from the Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Security of the regional administration.
In September alone the average salary made BYR 854,700.
Today the region ranks third in Belarus in terms of the average monthly salary, the source reported.
Mogilev Region's industrial enterprises offered a monthly wage of BYR 924,400 (26.8% up).
The average salary in construction industry totaled BYR 924,500 (22.6% up), transport - 889,300 (19.8% up), communication - BYR 798,400 (19.5% up), forestry - BYR 769,900 (18.2%), housing - BYR 767,400 (21.5%), trade and public catering - BYR 618,200 (30%), agriculture - BYR 501,900 (27.8%).
The average salary in the budget sector totaled BYR 640,100 (BYR 649,600 in September).
The highest salaries were registered in Mogilev (BYR 863,700), Bobruisk (BYR 857,600), Osipovichi (BYR 808,400).
